At Medik8, we are setting new standards in quality and innovation. As our global presence continues to expand, we are looking for a Quality Assurance Team Lead to join our team based at our Innovation Centre in Aylesbury.
The Role
In this full-time, onsite role, you will lead a team of three Quality Assurance Operatives, supporting their development while ensuring our award-winning skincare meets exacting quality and regulatory standards. Working hands-on across operational quality and laboratory compliance, you will play a key role in maintaining our quality-first culture.
This role will be site-based, Monday to Friday.
For this opportunity, we are offering up to £32,000-£35,000 per annum.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and support the day-to-day work of operational quality staff and laboratory analysts.
- Ensure regulatory compliance by reviewing documentation against QMS and GMP requirements.
- Perform physical and chemical conformity testing on in-house manufactured products, including pH, viscosity, density, and FTIR.
- Conduct retest activities, extend raw material expiry dates, and manage routine environmental monitoring, swabbing, and water purity sampling.
- Raise Out of Specification (OOS) reports, initiate root-cause investigations, and manage CAPAs and deviations alongside R&D and Blending teams.
- Act as the primary point of contact for external microbiology testing laboratories.
- Conduct microbiological risk assessments for cleanroom environments and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
What We Are Looking For
Essential
- Demonstrable supervisory experience within a regulated laboratory or operational environment.
- Strong working knowledge of GMP, QMS/eQMS, deviations, and CAPA processes.
- Hands-on capability with analytical testing (pH, viscosity, FTIR) and routine hygiene monitoring.
- Proven leadership skills with a supportive, team-focused approach.
