Quality Systems Technician

We are looking for a Quality Systems Technician to join our Quality Systems team, you will provide essential day-to-day support in maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS), with a particular focus on quality data, audit coordination, document control and records management.

Responsibilities

  • Work in accordance with all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to support the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors.
  • Support the maintenance and continual improvement of the company’s Quality Management System, ensuring processes, procedures and records remain controlled, effective and aligned with applicable requirements.
  • Collate, validate and maintain Quality KPI data, ensuring information is accurate, timely and suitable for reporting, dashboard preparation and trend analysis.
  • Support the Quality Systems Engineer with the preparation of quality reports, dashboards and performance information.
  • Coordinate the internal audit schedule, including audit planning, administration, documentation, action tracking and record maintenance.
  • Support customer, regulatory and certification audit preparation by collating objective evidence and ensuring required records are available.
  • Maintain effective document control, including the creation, amendment, issue, revision, distribution, withdrawal and archiving of controlled QMS documentation.
  • Maintain and control quality records, ensuring they are complete, traceable, appropriately stored, readily retrievable and managed in line with retention requirements.
  • Identify missing, incomplete or inconsistent quality data, documentation or records and raise issues with the appropriate owner.
  • Work with Quality, Production, Engineering and other functions to ensure required quality information, documentation and records are available when needed.
  • Support and deliver training to team members and other departments on Quality processes, systems and quality awareness requirements.

Requirements

Essential

  • Experience working with quality systems, document control, records management or similar processes.
  • Strong data management skills.
  • Good Microsoft skills, with the ability to collate and analyse data accurately.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • Strong data handling skills, with the ability to collate, check and present KPI information accurately.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to maintain reporting packs and dashboards.
  • Ability to follow controlled processes and maintain accurate documentation and records in line with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify gaps, inconsistencies or missing information and escalate appropriately.
  • Comfortable supporting process training, quality awareness activities and system updates.

Desirable

  • Previous experience using Ideagen Quality Management System (Q Pulse)
  • Experience within an aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of AS9100, CAA Part 21G and/or Part 145
