What would you be doing?
Our vision as a business is to be the “Go-to” supplier of bakery products, working nationally with retailers such as M&S, Tesco, and Sainsbury’s on their premium private label range and regionally through the Village Bakery brand.

As a QA Technician, you will support the Technical team in ensuring that all products, processes, and materials meet the highest standards of food safety, quality, legality, and customer compliance. The role will play a key part in maintaining an audit-ready environment and promoting a strong food safety culture across the site.

Your Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Carrying out quality checks and process verification across production
- Supporting HACCP monitoring and CCP verification activities
- Conducting GMP, hygiene, and factory standards audits
- Completing product, environmental, and microbiological sampling activities
- Supporting allergen control and foreign body management programmes
- Raising and supporting investigation of non-conformances and quality incidents
- Assisting with customer complaint investigations and trend analysis
- Maintaining accurate technical records and documentation within the QMS
- Supporting calibration activities for technical equipment
- Working closely with Production and Operations teams to maintain quality standards
The successful candidate for this role will need to demonstrate the following skills, qualifications, and attributes:
Essential
- Experience working in a QA or Technical role within food manufacturing
- Understanding of food safety systems including HACCP and GMP
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
- Confident using Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Desirable
- Experience working within a bakery manufacturing environment
- Awareness of BRCGS Food Safety Standard or retailer technical standards
- Experience supporting internal or external audits
- Experience investigating non-conformances or customer complaints
Qualifications
- Food Safety Level 2 and HACCP Level 2 (or willingness to achieve)
- Food Safety Level 3, HACCP Level 3, or Internal Auditor qualification would be advantageous
