Role Description
The Quality Assurance Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Syston, responsible for overseeing and improving quality systems across the production facility. This role leads the implementation and monitoring of quality assurance processes, ensuring products meet internal standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. Key tasks include managing quality documentation, conducting internal audits, coordinating corrective and preventive actions, and collaborating with production, technical, and supply chain teams to resolve issues. The Quality Assurance Lead will guide and mentor quality team members, support training on best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen food safety, GMP compliance, and overall product consistency.

Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Quality Assurance and Quality Control, with the ability to design, implement, and monitor effective QA/QC processes.
- Experience in Quality Management and Quality Auditing, including leading audits, managing findings, and supporting certification or regulatory inspections.
- In-depth knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) within a food or FMCG environment, ensuring adherence to hygiene, safety, and operational standards.
- Proven ability to analyse data, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement in product quality and process efficiency.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally in production or manufacturing settings.
- Relevant qualification in food science, quality management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience (desired).
- Familiarity with UK food safety regulations, HACCP principles, and retailer or customer technical standards is highly beneficial (desired).
