QA & Testing Professionals | Major UK Government Programme | Hybrid (1 day a week on site) | Up to £400/day | 6-Month Contract

A structured, programme-scale testing function on one of the largest Oracle Fusion implementations in UK government history. If you have Oracle testing experience and want to work on something with real scale and real rigour, there are roles available now.

The Role

A major cross-departmental UK government Oracle Fusion programme is building out its SFIA L4 testing capability. Roles include Integration Assurance Manager, UAT Assurance Manager, Application Test Engineer, and Test PMO. Oracle Fusion is the core platform. You will work within a structured, governed testing function, producing evidence to assurance standard under senior Test Lead oversight. Birmingham, 1 day per week.

You Will

  • Validate the quality and readiness of programme applications through functional and integration testing
  • Produce test evidence to assurance standard — plans, scripts, results and sign-off documentation
  • Provide governance, reporting and control of programme testing activities
  • Assure that departmental and arms-length body testing is progressing effectively and aligned to programme objectives
  • Work within a structured, multi-supplier testing function as part of a large cross-departmental programme

Essential Requirements

  • 3+ years QA/software testing experience in a programme or complex project environment
  • Hands-on experience testing Oracle-based systems — evidenced
  • Ability to produce test evidence to governance and assurance standard
  • Right to Work in the UK and BPSS clearable as a minimum

The Details

  • Programme: Cross-departmental UK government Oracle Fusion transformation
  • Location: Hybrid — 1 day/week in Birmingham; fully remote otherwise
  • Rate: Up to £400/day
  • IR35: Inside IR35 or FTC
  • Contract: 6-month contract; very high likelihood of extension — programme runs through November 2027
  • Clearance: SC eligibility preferred

Advantaguous

  • Active SC clearance
  • UK government or public sector programme experience
  • Previous experience on large-scale UK government integration programmes
  • Prior experience working inside one of the UK's largest welfare and employment departments, or delivering on a programme of this scale alongside a Tier 1 systems integrator
