Quality Assurance Tester (Outside IR35)

Hybrid (Holborn/London)

Every client integration today runs its own ad-hoc QA loop, with escalations and finger-pointing when something behaves unexpectedly. This role owns end-to-end QA for each client account: from pre-prod TestFlight access through production rollout, campaign setup, validation of all use-cases (e.g. Best Moment), and ongoing data quality. It sits inside CDA and is the trusted QA partner for each client pod.

Core responsibilities

  • Lead UAT and release readiness for each client integration — go/no-go gates, TestFlight and test-build coverage, production credential checks, gradual rollout management (% enabled, PNS), debug-screen removal sign-off.
  • Validate campaign setup and execution via the Console: deep links, PNS firing, Best Moment behaviour across scenarios, audience targeting; ensure outputs match expectations as we scale audiences.
  • Confirm each client’s microsegment & custom microsegment configuration (e.g. installed apps!) is correct for their SDK version, app structure and use case — flag mismatches before the client does.
  • Verify SDK signals on the real client app: report flow into JemaAPI, Bugsnag crash logs, microsegment reports per device; cross-check internal tools for active users and SDK health.
  • Triage and route client-side defects: cleanly separate SDK-platform issues from client-app issues, and stop escalations from turning into fire drills.
  • Apply fixes systematically across other clients that would benefit from the same fix — no client silently behind.
  • Maintain auditable per-client QA documentation: what was tested, what was promised, what is bridged offline, what is blocked, what changed between versions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Every client deploy has a known QA state, a clear go/no-go, and a closed loop on every issue found.
  • Client-side regressions are caught before the client notices them.
  • Cross-client fixes are propagated proactively; no client is silently behind on a known fix.
  • CDA pods have a trusted QA partner who reduces escalation noise to Engineering and Product.

Essential experience

  • Owned UAT and release quality for enterprise B2B deployments, ideally involving a mobile SDK and a console/campaign-management surface.
  • Strong on data validation (SQL, monitoring tools) and on reasoning across pipelines, APIs and customer-facing outputs.
  • Excellent stakeholder communicator — calm under client pressure, clear with engineering, credible with delivery leadership.
  • Pattern-matcher: spots the same defect class repeating across accounts and works upstream to fix the source.
