Job Title: QA Tester
Location: Hybrid (2-3 days in-office per week)
Contract Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 6 months (Likely extension)
Working Pattern: Full Time
About the Role
Join our client’s dynamic team as a QA Tester, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications. You will design, develop, and execute both manual and automated test scripts to validate functionality, performance, and security across various platforms. Collaborating closely with development teams, you will identify defects early, enhance test coverage, and streamline the release process.
Main Duties
- Test client applications predominantly developed using MS.NET C# with SQL Server or Oracle databases.
- Understand business requirements and create detailed test plans, writing and executing test cases for both functional and non-functional testing using Azure DevOps, XRAY, and JIRA.
- Conduct regression, functional, emergency change, and defect testing across production systems.
- Perform API testing, data validation, and batch process testing to ensure comprehensive system integrity.
- Design and maintain a test results dashboard to provide real-time visibility into project status, test execution progress, and key quality metrics for stakeholders.

Additional Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business users in London and other European branches to align on business requirements and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Engage with production support, release management, and change teams to ensure robust QA delivery.
- Ensure suitable testing environments are available and manage test data for the system test phase.
- Run regression tests for monthly/weekly releases and hotfixes to validate core system functionality.
Requirements
Essential:
- University graduate level with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or Mathematics.
- Proven understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Familiarity with MS.NET Framework environments.
- Experience in API, Middleware, and Batch & Data processing testing.
- Extensive experience in Windows and Web application testing.
- Good SQL/data validation skills and familiarity with ETL/data warehouse testing.
- Strong manual and automation testing experience.
- Experience in test management using XRAY/JIRA/Azure DevOps, defect triage, and reporting.

Desirable:
- Financial experience.
- Automation Framework development experience, preferably using Playwright, Selenium, or UI-Path.
Skills and Aptitudes
- Excellent communication skills to interact with various stakeholders.
- Ability to create a test results dashboard that displays project status reports and metrics.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and understanding of test traceability.
