Quality Auditor

Up to £32,500 base salary | Annual Profit Share Bonus | Chichester

Reporting into the QA Manager you will be responsible for Product Food Safety and Quality, systems, processes, procedures & GMP to ensure they comply with the set internal and customer requirements and specification, including auditing and closure of non-conformances

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure that the product quality & safety standards are maintained at all times and that the product that is manufactured meets the customer’s specification and is legally compliant in all aspects.
  • Ensure that our factories are audit ready at all times and the strict GMP standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing site.
  • Conduct scheduled auditing of safety, legality and GMP standards of the site.
  • Carry out regular documented checks on all areas and lines of manufacture and packing, including paperwork checks to ensure correct completion.
  • Carry out validation and verification of processes according to schedule.
  • Monitor lines during production and report any issues in relation to quality or product safety.
  • Carry out sampling, checks, tests, swabbing and other conformance requirements according to required schedules, including logging of samples into laboratory system.
  • Conduct documented investigations and close out non-conformances, using Root Cause Analysis.
  • Complete records and logs for all activities according to procedure.
  • Prepare, audit and file paperwork for lines & mixing room.
  • Set up and conduct daily quality assessments, including feedback and trending for operational teams.
  • Control & documentation of On Hold and other non-conforming products.
  • Pest control checks where required.
  • Carry out specified projects.

You will have

  • QA or similar experience working within the food industry, ideally experience in short shelf-life products.
  • Food safety Level 2.
  • HACCP.
  • Basic understanding of Microbiology.
  • Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and Food Safety compliance.
  • Working knowledge of auditing techniques.
  • Computer literacy, good oral and written communication skills.
