About Kepak Foods Division
Kepak Foods Division have developed a portfolio of brands that are successful in the chilled convenience, ambient and frozen meat categories in the UK, Ireland and chosen European markets for both Retail and Foodservice Customers. We have 5 Manufacturing Sites supported by shared services, with 1000 people supporting our vision to become a transformed, future proofed, profitable €0.5bn Food Business by 2030.
We are currently recruiting for a Quality Auditor (Nights) to join our New World Foods site (part of Kepak Group) in York.
Job Purpose/Primary Objective
The QA team play a critical role in ensuring the required standards of Food Safety, Quality and Hygiene are met. You will be required to liaise with all production areas.

Reporting to the Quality Manager
Shifts
Permanent Night Shift (10pm – 6am)
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:
- Traceability and Paperwork Auditing.
- Equipment calibration and verification.
- Hygiene Auditing of appropriate personnel, equipment and factory environment.
- Product, water and environmental sampling and testing to agreed specifications and to an agreed schedule.
- Cleaning chemical concentration testing.
- Liaising with production and/or hygiene departments to identify non-conformance and instigating corrective action.
- GMP auditing
Requirements
- Previous QA experience, ideally in food (2 years minimum)
- Previous night working experience
- Competent IT skills (e.g., Microsoft Office) with ability to complete electronic records accurately.
- English language skills essential
- Knowledge of paperwork and traceability systems is desirable.
- Experience of GMP and temperature auditing/monitoring preferred.
