Quality Automation Engineer
Location: London - Hybrid
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000
We are seeking a hands-on Quality Automation Engineer to join a leading global technology and professional services organisation. You’ll work closely with clients to develop and improve Quality Engineering strategies, working across a variety of industries, technology stacks and environments.
Key Responsibilities as a Quality Automation Engineer
- Develop and maintain automated testing solutions using Playwright and/or Selenium.
- Work hands-on with code using Java, C#, TypeScript, Python or similar.
- Read and review code and investigate defects through technical and stack analysis.
- Work with cloud environments including AWS and/or Azure.
- Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and apply shift-left testing principles.
- Work closely with developers, stakeholders and wider engineering teams.
- Contribute to Quality Engineering communities and continuously develop your skills.
- Explore and use GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude.

Experience you'll need as a Quality Automation Engineer
- Several years’ experience in Quality Engineering, Test Automation or a similar role.
- Strong hands-on automation and coding experience.
- Experience with Playwright and/or Selenium.
- Experience with an object-oriented programming language.
- Experience working with AWS, Azure or another major cloud platform.
- Understanding of CI/CD and shift-left testing.
- Some experience leading, mentoring or technically guiding others.
- Strong communication and stakeholder skills.
- An interest in GenAI and continuous self-development.
