Quality Checker and Stores Coordinator
Salary: £27,243.50 per annum
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 39 hours per week
Live-in accommodation or Relocation Support may be available for exceptional candidates.
This role is based on-site at Langdale Hotel and Spa, Ambleside, LA22 9JD.
Role Summary
Our Quality Checker and Stores Coordinator will ensure that the Hotel and Timeshare estate maintains the highest standards of quality across accommodation, inventory, and maintenance. This role involves conducting Lodge inspections, managing stock levels, supporting maintenance processes, and collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to uphold brand standards and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and raise job cards, supporting allocation and system use for other users.
- Record and maintain detailed Lodge inspection reports and quality documentation.
- Communicate findings to relevant departments such as Maintenance and Housekeeping.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Train staff on quality standards and best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for quality processes.
- Perform maintenance checks across internal and external public areas.
- Carry out regular audits, including maintenance standards of Lodges.
- Monitor guest reviews for maintenance and inventory issues, taking corrective action where necessary.
- Conduct emergency lights tests.
- Track job cards for awaiting parts, ordering, and issuing from stock as required.
- Assist the Estate Purchasing and Timeshare Manager with stock management and inventory control.
- Conduct Lodge inventory checks site-wide, including monitoring stock levels within Stores to maintain par levels.
- Place orders with suppliers using Langdale’s eProcurement system, deliver any received goods into the system and move the supplied items into stock.
- Pick and release stock to any colleagues requiring it so they can carry out their duties, replenishing stock where necessary.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure inventory levels meet the required standards.
- Report inventory issues promptly to the Estate Purchasing and Quality Manager to ensure resolution.

Our Ideal Candidate
- Strong attention to detail.
- Previous experience in a similar role desirable but not essential (full training provided).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Competent in using a computer and experience of a Purchase Order Management System desirable but not essential (full training provided).
- Good communication skills and adaptability to changing requirements.
- Hospitality experience preferred.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
