Quality Compliance Engineer – Luton Manufacturing Site

GKN Aerospace is revolutionising air travel, driving innovation in sustainability, global security, and performance. With a global team of 16,000+ engineers, we drive progress across aerospace, protecting democracies while pioneering greener skies. Headquartered across 33 sites in 12 countries, we proudly support 90% of the world's aircraft and engine manufacturers.

About the Role

At GKN Aerospace Luton, a world-leading supplier of electro-thermal ice protection systems, military canopies, and flight deck windows, you’ll play a critical role in operational excellence. Forming part of 20+ programmes—including the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, Airbus A320, Eurofighter Typhoon, and F-22 Raptor—we deliver precision engineering for global aerospace leaders like Boeing, Airbus, Lockhem Martin, and BAE Systems.

We’re seeking a Quality Compliance Engineer to lead AS9100 compliance, internal audits, and root-cause analysis at our Luton site. This role offers Tier-level visibility within the business, collaborating closely with department heads and leadership, while enjoying an unusual Friday finish (12:30 PM) to start your weekends.

Core Responsibilities

  • Maintain the site Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring alignment with AS9100 and customer requirements, including:
    • Document control, process integrity, and audit-readiness.
  • Plan and execute internal audits, reporting findings and ensuring timely corrective action closure.
  • Support external certifications and customer audits as a key compliance contact.
  • Champion root-cause analysis (8D, RCCA) and continuous improvement, driving cost-of-poor-quality (COPQ) reduction.
  • Analyse quality data trends and enforce a culture of quality accountability across the team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
