Role: Quality Control Analyst Location: Surrey Compensation: £30,000 - £35,000
Mackinnon Bruce International are partnered with an international manufacturer in the essential oils and natural products industry. We are seeking a Quality Control Analyst to join their QC team in Chertsey, Surrey.
The Role
This is a technically focused, laboratory-based position responsible for the analysis, testing, and quality assurance of essential oils, carrier oils, and blended products in line with Good Laboratory Practices.
- Carry out chemical, physical, and organoleptic analysis of essential oils, blending, and carrier oils using GC/FID, GC/MS, HPLC, and FAME testing.
- Perform data analysis, interpretation, and deliver accurate reports including Certificates of Analysis and Technical Data Sheets.
- Maintain accurate analysis records and conduct routine instrument validations to ensure systems are fit for use.
- Assist in the implementation of ISO 9001 and work alongside the QA Manager to prepare SOPs, STPs, and safety procedures.
- Liaise with production, development, and purchasing departments to communicate results and manage sample entry and dispatch.

The Requirements
- Laboratory experience and skills will be highly beneficial. Background in flavors, fragrances, or essential oils will be desirable, but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of ERP systems is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments.
- Good team working skills with a self-motivated, flexible approach to work.
- A willingness to learn, follow instructions, and develop within the role.
