We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Engineer to join our growing QC team at our brand new, state-of-the-art, manufacturing facility in Basingstoke.
The role:
As Quality Control Engineer, you will play a pivotal role, improving and developing the QC Department. You will provide technical support to the team and wider business.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Programming, operating and managing CMMs and all related tasks.
- Writing and proving out own programmes without supervision.
- Producing, interpreting and analysing CMM results.
- Liaising with all required interfaces in particular Design and Manufacturing Engineering as applicable.
- Writing Quality plans for inspection department.
- Writing work instructions for the QC team.
- Delivering training to QC staff and other manufacturing staff on inspection techniques.
- Carrying out investigations as required and supporting with solutions via non-conformance process.
- Assisting where required in quality improvement with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Maintenance / management of the current company CMM programmes.
- Assisting in the pursuit of companywide ownership and implementation of quality improvement and corrective action systems.

What are we looking for?
As Quality Control Engineer, you will have the following:
Key skills and experience:
- Fully conversant with Engineering drawings/specifications and CAD models, ability to measure complex parts against all.
- MS Office skills to an intermediate level.
- Degree or ONC/HNC qualified equivalent (Desirable).
- Knowledge CMM/VMM software.
- Understanding of CMM programming philosophy.
- Demonstrable experience in a measurement technologies.
- Experience of implementing control systems and procedures to manage variation.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
