QC Inspector – Thomas Broadbent, Huddersfield
For over 160 years, we’ve been pushing the boundaries of engineering through the design and manufacture of specialist industrial centrifuges.
We currently have a permanent opportunity for an experienced QC Inspector with a background in heavy engineering, metal fabrication, or machine-shop inspection.
The Role
- Dimensional and visual inspection of machined metal components
- Inspection of welded and fabricated assemblies
- Surface-finish checks using precision measuring equipment
- Ferrite testing and Positive Material Identification (PMI)
- Goods Inwards and final inspection of completed machinery
- Reading engineering drawings, tolerances, and specifications
- Raising NCRs and supporting investigations and corrective actions
- Maintaining inspection records, traceability, and quality documentation

What We’re Looking For
- Quality inspection experience within metal fabrication, machining, or heavy engineering
- Strong dimensional inspection and precision measurement skills
- Confidence interpreting engineering drawings and tolerances
- Experience inspecting welded or fabricated components
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001
- A practical, thorough approach and confidence working across Quality, Production, and Engineering
