Contract: 6-month contract, with potential for extension
Work Type: Onsite
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Job Description
Role Overview
The Quality Control Inspector will provide hands-on quality control and inspection support across AALTO's manufacturing and AIT activities. The person will work closely with technicians, team leaders and engineering/quality specialists to identify quality issues, verify compliance, support quality decisions and ensure that manufacturing activities are carried out in accordance with approved processes and standards. A key part of the role is the ability to identify when quality standards are not being met and stop work where necessary.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Inspection & Manufacturing Support
- Provide technical quality control and inspection guidance to the Build/AIT team.
- Support technicians in assessing the severity of incidents and making go/no-go decisions.
- Advise team leaders on quality-related issues.
- Carry out patrol inspections across manufacturing and assembly activities.
- Check documentation, hardware and process adherence.
- Inspect supplier-delivered parts and assemblies for compliance.
- Conduct spot checks and process audits where required.
Work Instructions & Drawings
- Review work instructions for technical accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
- Identify and reject errors where necessary and support their correction.
- Review engineering drawings as part of work-instruction assessments.
- Verify quality coverage within work instructions using QVP and KIP, where applicable.
- Identify and support the correction of quality gaps.

Workshop / Process Compliance
- Conduct checks covering:
- Workshop cleanliness
- Tool calibration and control
- Training record verification
- Process adherence
- Technician activities
- Spot checks and process audits
- Ensure technicians have been trained in accordance with the relevant skill matrix.
Non-Conformance & Quality Reporting
- Assist with managing local non-conformances and NCRs.
- Raise and follow through on Occurrence Reports (ORs) where required.
- Coordinate with relevant teams on minor OR dispositions.
- Exercise authority to halt work on a build where quality standards have been compromised.
