The Impact You Will Make
As a Quality Control Laboratory Analyst, you will be responsible for the testing of pharmaceutical raw materials, components and packaging, supporting batch release, stability programmes and customer complaint investigations.
Working within established GMP, EHS and laboratory procedures, you will help ensure testing is completed accurately, safely and within required timelines while championing data integrity and a right-first-time culture.
Within this role you will also provide technical guidance and training to colleagues and represent the department during regulatory and customer audits.
Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Providing technical expertise and support to help resolve laboratory and testing issues.
- Ensuring testing is completed accurately and within required timelines, with a strong focus on right-first-time performance.
- Working in accordance with GMP, GLP, ALCOA principles, specifications, test methods and laboratory procedures.
- Performing physical and analytical testing, including HPLC, to support batch release, stability studies and customer complaint investigations.
- Completing laboratory investigations with minimal support and contributing to quality investigations and GMP deviations within your area of expertise.
- Maintaining accurate, complete and compliant laboratory documentation.
- Authoring laboratory documentation within your areas of technical knowledge.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and participating in wider team improvement projects.
- Taking responsibility for the maintenance and calibration of basic laboratory equipment.
- Supporting and training colleagues, sharing technical knowledge and good laboratory practices.
- Representing the QC laboratory during customer and regulatory audits.
- Maintaining excellent laboratory housekeeping and consistently following site safety procedures.
- Championing safety, quality, data integrity and continuous improvement in everything you do.

Skills & Experience
We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical laboratory knowledge with a proactive and collaborative approach.
Ideally, You Will Have
- 2+ years' experience in testing within a pharmaceutical, QC or regulated laboratory environment.
- A BTEC HND or above in a science-based discipline, or a similar relevant qualification.
- Practical experience working within GMP and/or GLP environments.
- Good knowledge of laboratory specifications and test methods.
- Experience with HPLC, GC or related analytical techniques.
- An understanding of pharmaceutical testing requirements and current analytical techniques.
- Experience working with laboratory equipment and supporting calibration or maintenance activities.
- Good computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
