Quality Control Technician – Microbiology
Maidstone, Kent | £30,000 - £40,000
This role sits within a QC Microbiology lab supporting diagnostic enzyme manufacturing for medical device kits — the site is ISO 9001 regulated and working toward MHRA certification.
The position acts as lab deputy — running routines and rotas, keeping equipment and consumables ready, and providing light supervision to junior staff.
Day to day:
- Environmental monitoring
- Cleanroom sampling
- SOP writing
- Deputising in team meetings
A solid understanding of microbiology is expected.

What's needed:
- Hands-on QC/microbiology experience — pharma background preferred, not food industry
- Comfortable with environmental monitoring and cleanroom work
- Confident writing SOPs and communicating across the team
Own transport essential — public transport links to the site are limited.
