ISS is a leading service provider in the UK Fresh Produce sector. Since 2014, we have grown to operate four sites across Kent, employing over 1,300 colleagues. We are now looking for a QC Supervisor to join our Quality team and help drive the highest standards of product quality, safety and legality across our operations.

About the Role

As a QC Supervisor, you will lead and develop the Quality Control team, working closely with Production to ensure all products meet customer, legal and internal quality requirements. You will play a key role in minimising rejections, maintaining Quality Service Levels (QSL), and promoting a strong quality culture throughout the business.

This is a 4 on 4 off night shift position- 5.30pm- 5.30am.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coordinate and support the QC team to deliver quality standards across production.
  • Ensure all products dispatched meet customer requirements for safety, quality and legality.
  • Monitor packaging, labelling and product specifications to ensure compliance.
  • Work closely with Production teams to maintain quality standards throughout the packing process.
  • Investigate and communicate quality concerns, taking prompt action to minimise risk.
  • Support with rotas, holiday planning, investigations and day-to-day team management.
  • Train, coach and develop team members, assessing competency against procedures.
  • Oversee equipment calibration and ensure teams are working to current specifications.
  • Monitor departmental KPIs and ensure tasks are completed within agreed timescales.
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety, hygiene and housekeeping.

What You'll Bring

  • Quality Control experience within a food production, fresh produce or packhouse environment.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of quality, food safety and customer standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Organised, proactive and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Experience with Prophet ERP systems (desirable).
  • Lead by example by demonstrating our company values in your day-to-day work.
