Location: Telford, Shropshire
Hours: 6am - 2pm
Salary: £30,000

Are you passionate about food quality, safety, and continuous improvement? We're looking for a dedicated Quality Control Technician to join our Technical team in Telford.

In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, legality, and customer expectations. If you have experience within a manufacturing environment and enjoy working in a fast-paced food production setting, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out GMP, fabrication, foreign body, glass, and hard plastics audits.
  • Complete detailed shift reports and maintain accurate quality records.
  • Monitor production processes, including line weights, temperatures, and food safety controls.
  • Verify CCPs and HACCP requirements are being effectively followed.
  • Conduct daily taste panels and quality assessments.
  • Support internal audits, customer audits, and site visits.
  • Assist with investigations into customer complaints, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
  • Carry out product sampling, environmental swabbing, and testing activities.
  • Support allergen management and verification processes.
  • Assist with staff inductions and training on food safety, HACCP, and site procedures.
  • Help maintain excellent standards of hygiene, housekeeping, health, and safety across the site.
  • Provide cover for colleagues within the QA team during holidays and absences.
  • Support the wider Technical team with any other reasonable duties as required.

About You

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

  • Experience within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Internal auditing experience.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety systems.
  • Experience working in a high-care or high-risk production environment.
