Kyocera AVX Components in Coleraine specialises in the manufacture of ceramic capacitors for the automotive and space sectors. We have been operating in Northern Ireland for over 45 years, and our reputation is built on the quality of our product and service. We have a great team of people working in Coleraine and we are looking for a Quality Coordinator to join us.
The Role
As Quality Coordinator, you will work closely with the Quality Manager to ensure that all products, shipments and associated services consistently meet the quality standards established by the Company, customers and industry regulatory bodies e.g. NASA, European Space Agency, IATF.
You will help to drive a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence and compliance and will be responsible for ensuring customer standards are communicated to production and that these standards are being adhered to. You will overview the product quality across key product lines and drive the visual quality standards which will involve product review and evaluation. This will involve working closely with production and engineering to generate improvements and assist in achieving Company targets.

Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Responsible for implementation and maintenance of internal quality systems for key product lines.
- Drive continuous improvement using structured problem-solving tools such as Lean and Six Sigma.
- Coordination of internal and external product qualifications.
- Responsibility for maintaining documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Gather and prepare quality data for quality reporting.
- Carry out internal audits to ISO 9001/ IATF 16949 standards and assist where necessary in audit coordination/ preparation.
- Responsibility for QA lab ensuring tests are conducted to the required standards.
About You
- Educated to HND/Degree level standard preferably in an engineering or business discipline.
- Have at least 3 years’ experience in a quality related role in a manufacturing/ engineering related business.
- Have experience of working with quality systems and of determining quality standards from a commercial perspective.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality focused.
- Able to take decisions and be objective.
- An effective communicator and a team player.
- Demonstrate excellent planning and organisation skills.

Ideally
- You will have a working knowledge of regulatory standards e.g. ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ESA, NASA.
- Have previous experience as an internal quality auditor.
