About The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer based in Leeds on behalf of our esteemed client. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the company's quality management systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO9001. This position involves handling customer complaints, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). The ideal candidate will be proactive in supporting supplier development, conducting internal audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing or automotive environment. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of ONC/OND qualification, complemented by over five years of relevant industry experience in a quality management role. Experience in conducting audits and familiarity with ISO9001 standards are essential. Certification in lead auditor training is advantageous and will be highly regarded. Additional knowledge of ISO14001 and ISO18001 standards will be considered a plus. Practical experience in coordinating improvement activities using 8D methodology, root cause analysis, and CAPA processes is required. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Providing development support to suppliers to ensure quality standards are met and maintained.
  • Handling customer complaints efficiently by conducting thorough investigations using root cause analysis techniques and implementing effective CAPA solutions.
  • Maintaining and developing the corrective action systems, including Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and audit processes, to ensure continuous compliance with industry standards.
  • Engaging in daily management of the ISO9001 accredited quality management system, supporting internal and external audits, and ensuring adherence to quality policies and procedures.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and leading initiatives to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Providing training and guidance to team members on quality standards and best practices, fostering a culture of quality awareness throughout the organization.
