Quality Engineer – Regulatory & Compliance | Cosmetics/Skincare
Office Location: Calleva Park, Aldermaston, Berkshire
Employment Type: Full Time, Remote working
Travel: Required for factory on-site audits when needed
About The Opportunity
Our client – an international hotel supplier, is currently looking for a Quality Engineer to support EU/UK regulatory compliance, product registration, and quality management across EMEA. This role partners closely with R&D, manufacturers, Customer Service, and Compliance teams to ensure products meet regulatory and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- EU/UK Compliance: Issue EU/UK regulatory newsletters and provide guidance to R&D on newly released regulations.
- Product Registration: Manage product notifications via CPNP (EU) and SCNP (UK). Create regional artwork versions. Support the Dubai CS team with registration documents including FSC, GMP, INCI, artwork, samples, and LOA. Maintain MSDS and technical data sheets. Act as key approver for regional artworks with R&D via DocuSign.
- Regulatory Monitoring & Compliance: Monitor new cosmetic laws and regulations in EMEA and notify PD, R&D, and Customer Service. Work with the Compliance team on EUDR and PPWR. Arrange manufacturer compliance inspections and follow up on formula upgrades.
- Product Development Review: Define critical quality control points, testing items, and quality considerations from both manufacturing and customer perspectives.
- Quality Complaints & QMS: Resolve EMEA-originated quality complaints. Partner with manufacturers on root-cause analysis and corrective-action planning within required timelines. Work with Customer Service to deliver solutions and manage customer expectations.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Chemicals, Materials Science, Quality Management, or related fields.
- 4–5 years in quality management, compliance, or a related field. Experience in a US or Europe MNC is a plus.
- Proficient in quality management tools with hands-on experience handling quality complaints.
- Familiarity with cosmetic industry regulations, safety standards, and GMP is a plus.
- Six Sigma Green Belt advantageous.
- Ability to travel to factories for on-site audits.
- Return to office if required by business needs.

Skills
- Fluent in written and verbal English; strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of ISO9001 and other quality management systems and QC workflows.
- Solid knowledge of quality management tools.
- Experience with non-conforming product handling, deviation control, and Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- A good team player, self-motivated, and well-organized.
