Quality Engineer
Medical Technology Manufacturing Scale-Up
South Wales / Remote with Travel
£50-55,000 base salary

An innovative medical technology company is entering an exciting phase of growth as it establishes and scales manufacturing operations in South/West Wales. To support this transition, we are seeking a Quality Engineer to take ownership of manufacturing quality systems and become the key quality presence at the production facility.

This is a hands-on role with significant responsibility, offering the opportunity to build quality processes from the ground up and directly influence the successful scale-up of an exciting medical technology product.

The Role

As Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the quality systems, controls and processes that underpin manufacturing operations. Working closely with production, engineering and operations teams, you will ensure products are manufactured consistently, efficiently and in line with quality requirements.

You'll serve as the primary on-site quality lead, helping to establish robust manufacturing practices while supporting future production growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and continuously improve manufacturing quality processes and procedures
  • Develop and maintain quality control systems across production operations
  • Define and manage inspection, verification and acceptance criteria throughout manufacturing
  • Oversee quality-related testing, fixtures, jigs and production controls
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational performance
  • Support manufacturing scale-up activities and ongoing production performance
  • Act as a technical quality interface for suppliers and support supplier quality activities when required
  • Work closely with engineering and operations teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
