Quality Engineer | Kentish Town | £35,000 - £45,000
Our client is an established technology manufacturer developing advanced imaging and sensing solutions for a range of high-tech industries, including healthcare, scientific research, and industrial applications. They are looking to add a Quality Engineer to their growing team at their North London facility.
The Role
This is a hands-on Quality Engineering position supporting manufacturing and production activities. You'll be responsible for maintaining quality standards across production, driving continuous improvement initiatives, investigating quality issues, and ensuring products meet both customer and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor manufacturing processes and implement appropriate quality controls and inspection methods.
- Manage non-conformances and investigate product or process issues using structured problem-solving techniques such as Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, and 8D.
- Support product testing activities and ensure accurate recording and traceability of quality data.
- Create and maintain quality documentation including SOPs, work instructions, control plans, and quality records.
- Analyse production yields and defect trends, working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to reduce waste, improve quality, and enhance process performance.
- Conduct internal audits, monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards.
- Work with suppliers to resolve quality concerns, coordinate investigations, and support supplier audits where required.
- Occasionally travel internationally to visit suppliers and support quality activities.

Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or another relevant technical discipline.
- Previous experience working as a Quality Engineer or in a similar quality-focused manufacturing role.
- Experience within a production, manufacturing, or cleanroom environment would be beneficial.
- Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001.
- Familiarity with quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, CAPA, NCR management, and 8D problem solving.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
