Owen Daniels are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a leading automotive manufacturing business based in Northampton.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a quality professional who enjoys a hands on engineering environment, gets involved in solving problems and wants to play a key role in improving quality across a busy manufacturing operation.
The role will see you working closely with production, engineering, suppliers and customers, taking ownership of quality issues and driving them through to effective, long term solutions. You will be involved across APQP, PPAP, 8D, 5 Why, PFMEA, Control Plans, root cause analysis and continuous improvement, with plenty of opportunity to get involved with new projects as well as existing production.

We are looking for someone who can look at a quality issue, get to the real root cause and work with the team to make sure it doesn't happen again.
You will ideally have:
- Experience as a Quality Engineer within automotive or a high volume manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of APQP and PPAP
- Practical experience with 8D, 5 Why and root cause analysis
- Good understanding of PFMEA, Control Plans and quality planning
- Experience dealing with customer and supplier quality issues
- A hands on approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
- The confidence to work with production, engineering and customers at all levels
