Quality Engineer – Chemical Manufacturing
Site based in Alfreton, Derbyshire
At Diversey - A Solenis Company, we are the pioneer, the facilitator of our clients in a wide range of industries around the globe. We do this with our revolutionary cleaning and hygiene technologies - such as floor care machines, cleaning tools & utensils, and chemicals for Food & Beverage industry.
Are you a quality-focused professional with experience in manufacturing environments? We're looking for a Quality Engineer to join our chemical manufacturing operation in Alfreton, playing a key role in driving product quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across the site.
What You'll Be Doing
- Investigating quality issues and non-conformances, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Leading quality audits and supporting customer, supplier, and certification audits.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing performance.
- Conducting risk assessments using tools such as FMEA, HACCP, and SPC.
- Supporting process, equipment, material, and packaging validation activities.
- Developing and maintaining quality procedures, standards, and documentation.
- Analysing quality data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Delivering training and coaching to promote a strong quality culture across the site.

What We're Looking For
- Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Background in chemical, food, pharmaceutical, or other regulated process industries preferred.
- Experience investigating non-conformances and managing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Knowledge of ISO quality management systems and auditing processes.
- Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor qualification desirable.
- Experience with SAP or ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Full UK driving license preferred.
