Quality Engineer
Location: Hessle
Salary: £45,000 - £53,000 + excellent benefits

Consortium Professional Recruitment are partnering with an established manufacturer to recruit a Quality Engineer for their team in Hessle.
This is a hands-on quality engineering role within a regulated manufacturing environment, offering the opportunity to get close to operations, tackle real production challenges and influence how quality and process performance are improved.
You'll work across Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing, investigating issues, supporting process and product changes, and using data and practical problem-solving techniques to deliver sustainable improvements.
The Role
As Quality Engineer, you'll be responsible for:
- Providing day-to-day quality engineering support across manufacturing operations, helping teams identify and resolve quality issues quickly and effectively.
- Leading investigations into quality and manufacturing issues, identifying root causes and putting effective solutions in place.
- Driving corrective and preventive actions through to sustainable resolution.
- Supporting change, risk assessment and validation activities within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Using data and appropriate quality tools to understand issues, identify trends and support decision making.
- Helping to improve manufacturing processes, product quality and overall operational performance.
- Leading and contributing to continuous improvement projects focused on reducing defects, improving yield and strengthening process performance.
- Working collaboratively with Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality colleagues to maintain high standards of product quality and compliance.

About You
We're looking for a Quality Engineer who combines strong technical knowledge with a practical, improvement-focused approach.
You'll ideally bring:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Science or another relevant technical discipline.
- Quality engineering experience gained within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience within medical devices would be particularly advantageous, although candidates from other regulated or quality-focused manufacturing sectors are encouraged to apply.
- Experience investigating quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective improvements.
- An understanding of risk management, validation and the use of data to support quality and process improvement.
- The confidence to investigate problems, challenge constructively and work with different teams to implement improvements.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, analytical approach and genuine interest in continuous improvement.
