The Opportunity

We're looking for a passionate Quality Engineer to join a major digital transformation programme, helping teams deliver high-quality software through modern testing and automation practices.

Working within Agile Scrum teams, you'll be responsible for driving quality throughout the software development lifecycle, championing automation, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring testing is embedded as a shared team responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions.
  • Implement testing strategies aligned with modern Quality Engineering practices.
  • Promote a quality-first culture across development teams.
  • Support the implementation of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD).
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
  • Apply risk-based testing approaches to maximise test coverage and reduce delivery risk.
  • Create and manage test data and testing environments.
  • Support functional, integration, system, performance, accessibility, and security testing activities.
  • Analyse business requirements and technical designs to define effective testing solutions.
  • Coach and mentor team members to build testing capability across the wider engineering team.
  • Work closely with developers through collaborative engineering practices, including pair programming.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
