WHAT TO EXPECT DAY TO DAY
The successfully appointed candidate will have the opportunity to build a deep knowledge of business imperatives and operational issues, as well as the opportunity to fully participate in the business. The Quality function is a site-based team at Lisburn who work closely with all areas of the business including Engineering, Operations and Suppliers to provide quality products to our world-wide customer base.
RESPONSIBILITIES
You will join an existing Quality Team supporting Operational Excellence through
- Developing and implementing quality standards.
- Developing and implementing quality control systems.
- Monitoring and analysing quality performance.
- Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
- Collaborating with operations leaders to develop and implement controls and improvements.
- Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations.
- Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues.
- Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.
- Reviewing certifications, specifications, and processes.
- Supporting Supplier Performance Evaluation, SCARs and supplier visits
- Lead 8D/Problem Solving activities
- NCR / Field returns & handling customer complaints
- Control of non conforming product and disposition
- Support Internal Audit process

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
- A 3rd level qualification in an engineering discipline or 3 years QE experience
- Good IT skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Familiar with Health & Safety regulations
DESIRED CRITERIA
The following skills will be valuable but are not essential:
- Experience working within a manufacturing or quality environment
- Working to deadlines
- Problem Solving
- Supplier Facing management
- Internal Auditing training or experience
- Handling customer complaints
- Experience of LEAN Manufacturing tools
