JOB- Quality Engineer
LOCATION- Hampshire
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £40,000-£50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
We are looking for a Quality Engineer on a permanent basis in the Hampshire area to support the existing quality assurance activities. This will include:
- Internal auditing both from a business process and manufacturing compliance perspective
- Coordinating associated actions
- Performing data analysis to identify improvement opportunities with regards to both product returns and internal CoPQ
The Quality Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- Degree qualified or experience working in similar role
- 3-5 years experience working with highly regulated standards beneficial. IATF 16949, ISO13485 or AS9100
- Structured approach to problem solving methodologies
- Certified Lead auditor
- Self-motivated individual, able to set own priorities and work independently
- Right first time approach
- Ability to work calmly under pressure

The Quality Engineer role will involve:
- Drive standardisation on processes along with waste elimination and continuous improvement
- Working on NPI products and supplier quality development, implementing new processes
- Hands on role investigating NCR’s
- Establish short & long term goals with PDCA methodology
- Collating material compliance data, report writing where necessary
- Resolve customer issues in a timely manner
- Overseeing and conducting First Article Inspection Reports
- Supporting customer and 3rd party audits
- Monitor supplier performance, define process parameter to ensure process capability
- Monitor output, quality & scrap rates. Improving OTD performance
- Maintain records of products and approved suppliers
- Continually improve QMS processes
