About The Role
The Quality Engineer role offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking organization dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of quality across its operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the company's quality management systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO 9001:2015, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess relevant qualifications and experience, including a proven track record as a Quality Engineer or similar role within engineering or manufacturing settings. A solid understanding of mechanical drawings, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and quality standards is essential. Candidates should be apprentice trained or hold a HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Flexibility to travel within the UK and overseas is required, along with a full clean driving license. Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills are also necessary to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and continuously improve the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory, and defense standards.
- Provide quality assurance support within cross-functional teams, ensuring adherence to project, contractual, and customer requirements.
- Plan, execute, and document internal audits aligned with ISO and AQAP standards, applying risk-based thinking to improve system effectiveness.
- Manage non-conformances and supplier defects using SAP, conducting root cause analysis and implementing effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Lead investigations into defects, near misses, and customer complaints utilizing structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D and 5 Whys.
- Oversee quality documentation, inspection activities, and validation processes to ensure product conformity throughout production cycles.
- Monitor key quality performance indicators, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and liaise with customers, suppliers, and auditors to ensure ongoing compliance and quality excellence.

- Salary up to £44,000 depending on experience

- Standard Monday to Friday working week, 37.5 hours per week
