Owen Daniels is supporting a leading manufacturer supplying high-quality engineered products to global markets. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Quality Engineer to join their established team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive Quality Engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about driving quality improvements across production, supplier, and customer processes.
The Role
As Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring products meet customer and regulatory requirements while supporting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing process.
Working closely with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and customers, you will investigate quality issues, implement corrective actions, and help maintain the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate customer and internal quality concerns and implement effective corrective actions.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis using tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and other problem-solving techniques.
- Support continuous improvement activities to reduce waste, defects, and customer complaints.
- Conduct internal process audits and support external customer and certification audits.
- Produce and maintain quality documentation including inspection plans, control plans, and work instructions.
- Monitor quality KPIs and identify trends to improve manufacturing performance.
- Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve supplier performance.
- Support new product introduction and engineering change activities from a quality perspective.
- Ensure compliance with ISO quality standards and customer requirements.
- Liaise with production teams to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout manufacturing.

The Candidate
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Quality Engineer within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality tools including 8D, 5 Why, PFMEA, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Experience conducting internal audits and supporting external audits.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience using measuring equipment and interpreting inspection results.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the confidence to work across multiple departments.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
