ROLE: Quality Engineer

HOURS: Two shift rotation - Days 6.00 to 14.00, 10:00 - 18:00 Monday - Friday
SALARY: £38,000 plus excellent benefits

As we continue to strengthen our Quality team we are delighted to be recruiting for a Quality Engineer, based at our S&S Plastics site, part of the Eurocell Group of companies.
As Quality Engineer you will provide cross functional support for NPI, reporting, process monitoring, investigations and CI initiatives to support efficient cost-effective manufacture, allowing the Business to maintain the highest levels of quality and service to both our internal and external customer base.
What Our Quality Engineers Do
- Maintain and accurately input data to support the generation of SPC, KPI, and BOS charts, ensuring timely and reliable performance monitoring across operations.
- Conduct scheduled internal audits in line with quality standards, producing detailed audit reports and raising NCR/CAPA actions where required.
- Support manufacturing teams with process monitoring and lead robust investigations into product non-conformance, utilising structured problem-solving tools
- Assist the SHEQ Team Leader during external audits conducted by regulatory bodies and customers, ensuring compliance and readiness.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of quality processes and the Quality Management System (QMS) to meet evolving business and regulatory requirements

What We Need From Our Quality Engineers
- Educated to GCSE (NVQ level 2/3) or equivalent
- Qualified to IOSH Managing Safety (Desirable)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office skills
- Previous experience of problem-solving techniques and investigations
- Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment could be an advantage
- Good understanding and internal auditor trained in ISO9001 (ISO13485 is desirable)
- Ability to read, interpret engineering drawings and produce detailed ISIR reports
- Extensive knowledge of a diverse range of measurement equipment including CMM and Shadowgraph
- Extensive knowledge of FMEA, PPAP, APQP, SPC, 8D and 5S
