Role Description
The Quality Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Redcar. This position is responsible for monitoring and improving quality processes across mechanical and electrical engineering projects, ensuring compliance with company standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines. - Developing and maintaining quality plans
- Conducting inspections and audits
- Reviewing documentation
- Supporting root cause analysis for non-conformances

The Quality Engineer will work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to:
- Implement corrective and preventive actions
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Promote best practices in quality management
The role also involves:
- Preparing quality reports
- Maintaining records
- Contributing to training and awareness on quality standards and procedures
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Quality Engineering and Quality Management, with experience applying structured methodologies to engineering projects.
- Skills in Quality Assurance and Quality Control, including developing procedures, performing inspections, and supporting audits.
- Skills related to Product Quality, including monitoring project deliverables, validating technical specifications, and ensuring compliance with client expectations.
- Relevant experience in mechanical and/or electrical engineering environments, particularly within infrastructure or construction projects.
- Knowledge of applicable quality standards and regulations (e.g., ISO-based systems) and familiarity with continuous improvement tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and a focus on safety and reliability.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams on-site.
- A relevant technical or engineering qualification (e.g., HNC/HND, degree, or equivalent experience) is desirable.
