Quality Engineer

Purpose of the Role

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring mobile crushing and screening equipment is manufactured to the required quality standards. The role will support production, investigate and resolve quality issues, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with both company and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor product quality throughout fabrication, welding, machining, painting, assembly, and final inspection.
  • Investigate non-conformances and customer complaints using structured problem-solving techniques, including 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone analysis.
  • Lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Support internal, supplier, and customer quality audits.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Analyse quality data and identify trends through relevant KPIs.
  • Develop inspection plans, quality documentation, and procedures.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and engineering change processes.
  • Promote Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure products meet customer specifications and required quality standards.

    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Manufacturing Engineering
    • Quality Engineering
    • Production Engineering
  • OR
  • Equivalent experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
