Quality Engineer
The Quality Engineer supports the Manchester site in maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory, customer, industry, and certification requirements, such as ISO 9001, PED, ASME, ATEX, and AQAP.
The role supports audit programs, inspections, and compliance activities, maintaining quality documentation and assisting with the implementation of quality and regulatory requirements throughout the business.
The Quality Engineer promotes a culture of compliance, continuous improvement, and Right First Time.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Support external certification bodies, regulatory agencies, and customer audits while maintaining compliance with applicable standards, including ISO 9001, PED, ASME, ATEX, AQAP, and customer requirements.
- Coordinate certification and surveillance audits, maintaining audit readiness and supporting the closure of audit findings and corrective actions.
- Monitor changes to regulatory and industry standards and support their implementation across the site.
- Maintain quality and compliance documentation required to support certifications, approvals, and customer requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and provide guidance to departments on quality and compliance requirements.
- Support qualification and approval activities for products, processes, suppliers, and personnel, while promoting a culture of compliance, quality, and Right First Time.

Who You Are:
You are an organized and proactive Quality Engineer with an interest in quality systems, regulatory compliance, and certification requirements.
You are comfortable working with internal teams and external auditors, supporting compliance activities and helping to maintain business approvals and certifications.
You have good attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
For This Role, You Will Need:
- Experience working in a quality, compliance, or engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
- HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent qualification or experience in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and industry standards such as PED, ASME, ATEX, AQAP, or similar regulated manufacturing requirements.
- Experience supporting audits, inspections, or compliance activities would be beneficial.
- Experience investigating quality issues and supporting corrective actions.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, customers, and external auditors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
