Position Summary
Our client, a manufacturing company in the U.S., is seeking a bilingual Quality Engineer. This position will serve as a liaison between Japanese-speaking engineering teams and English-speaking quality personnel while supporting quality improvement initiatives and manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve quality control and inspection processes
- Conduct product and process audits
- Lead root cause analysis using FMEA, 5-Why, and Fishbone methodologies
- Analyze quality data and identify improvement opportunities
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams
- Maintain quality documentation and records
- Support quality management system compliance
- Participate in new product launches and quality-related projects

QUALIFICATIONS
- Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English
- Engineering or quality experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience working within industrial/manufacturing operations
- Authorization to work in the U.S. or eligibility for visa sponsorship

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Quality Engineer experience
- Automotive industry experience
- ISO and/or IATF16949 experience
- APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and SPC knowledge
- Experience supporting quality improvement projects
- CMM programming experience is a plus
LOCATION

SALARY
USD 60,000 - 70,000
