About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team at Elite Hire. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our quality management systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and AS9100. This role involves leading root cause analysis, managing customer and supplier quality issues, and supporting internal and external audits. The successful candidate will utilize data-driven approaches to reduce scrap and rework, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and uphold our commitment to delivering defect-free products. Qualifications

  • Degree or HNC in an engineering discipline or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of two years in a quality role within a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 or relevant sector standards
  • Confidence in problem-solving tools and core quality methodologies such as APQP, PFMEA, and control plans
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and utilize measuring equipment accurately
  • Certifications such as internal auditor qualification, Six Sigma Green Belt, or CMM experience are considered advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve our quality management system (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 / AS9100)
  • Lead root cause investigations using 8D, 5 Whys, and fishbone tools
  • Manage customer complaints and supplier quality issues
  • Prepare PPAP and FAI documentation for new parts
  • Run internal audits and support customer and certification audits
  • Use data and SPC to cut scrap and rework
