We are currently recruiting a Quality Engineer to join an established engineering business based in Newmarket.
The role will focus on ensuring products meet RF, mechanical and regulatory requirements, while investigating issues and improving manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and carry out internal audits in line with the company's Integrated Management System
- Support the maintenance and improvement of Quality Management System (QMS) procedures
- Support the customer complaints process, ensuring thorough investigations and timely responses
- Develop and improve test procedures, jigs and fixtures to ensure reliable and repeatable checks
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives including 5S, process audits and training
- Support REACH, RoHS and other regulatory compliance activities
- Maintain inspection records, test documentation and reports

About You
- HNC, HND or Degree in Mechanical, Electronic or Manufacturing Engineering preferred
- Alternatively, 5+ years' experience within a similar role or environment
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 systems and internal auditing
- Strong understanding of inspection and testing techniques, particularly FAI reporting
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and quality data/reporting systems
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with wider teams
Desirable Experience
- Experience with RF testing, antenna measurement or similar technical test environments
- Knowledge of structured root cause analysis tools such as 8D, Ishikawa and 5 Whys
- Working knowledge of REACH and RoHS compliance
