About the team:

We are recruiting a Quality Engineer (Data) to be responsible for ensuring the quality of OSB Group's data platform, pipelines, and reporting systems. Working within the Quality Engineering chapter, this role validates data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across all data engineering change and development activity.

This role can be based from our Chatham or Wolverhampton offices.

What you will be doing:

As Quality Engineer you will apply both manual and automated testing techniques to validate complex data flows, ETL pipelines, and analytical outputs. You will work closely with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to embed quality throughout the data development lifecycle, from requirements through to production validation.

Key responsibilities will include…

  • Ensure the quality, accuracy, and integrity of data across OSB Group's data platform, pipelines, and reporting systems through effective testing practices.
  • Design and execute test cases for ETL pipelines, data transformations, and warehouse changes, using SQL to validate data across source, transit, and target systems.
  • Test and validate data pipelines in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Databricks, including transformation logic, orchestration, and outputs.
  • Identify, log, and manage data defects, providing clear analysis and working closely with engineering teams to support resolution.
  • Contribute to test planning, including test strategies, test cases, and execution of integration, regression, and UAT activities.
  • Support the development of automated data validation using SQL, Python, or frameworks such as Great Expectations or dbt.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to define testable requirements and embed quality throughout the lifecycle.
  • Adhere to data governance and regulatory requirements, ensuring secure handling of data and alignment with compliance standards

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
