Quality Engineer
Role Description
This is a full-time, office-based, with some travel to customers and suppliers Quality Engineer role located in St. Neots, Cambridgeshire. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for monitoring production processes and performing regular tests to identify potential problems, inspecting materials and quality process systems to find defects and avoid leakages to customers, identifying the root causes of technical issues and recommending problem solving, preparing reports and documentations on malfunctions and corrective actions, reviewing product blueprints and quality documentations, tracking assurance goals, coordinating with external Quality Assurance Technicians to ensure legal compliance, working with internal teams to improve the quality of products to enhance customer satisfaction securing new business opportunities across Titan's Engineering, Manufacturing, and Technology. We primarily operate in the Automotive and Motorsport industries but do have an expanding portfolio of clients in the Defence and Scientific markets, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting Titan with long-term growth and main objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Ability to take the initiative and make sound judgments in work methods and interpreting goals
- Ability to work independently and in teams with supervision and reviewing
- High attention to details to ensure proper manufacturing, installation and operation of products
- Good analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct root cause analyses and devise suitable preventive action plans
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate new processes clearly and document critical aspects of the job
- Sincere work ethic for adhering to standards and managing potential harmful effects on timelines and budget, and the ability to operate under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal and team-player skills
- Good mathematical skills and proficiency with computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
About You
- Strong understanding of CNC machining, manufacturing services, engineered systems, or related industries (automotive, motorsport, defence, aerospace, off-highway, industrial, or similar sectors).
- Strong background in Engineering and Quality knowledge
- Experience in a ISO9001 and ISO14401 environment is essential and IATF16949 is preferred.
- Technically minded, with the ability to understand engineering drawings, specifications, manufacturing processes, and customer requirements.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to establish and maintain co-operative relationships with internal departments and cross-functional areas.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Knowledge of Steering and/or Fluid systems would be advantageous.
- Willingness to travel as required.
