Senior QA Engineer
Up to £50,000 + Bonus
99% Remote (Manchester based office)
UK based applicants only
You will be the first dedicated QA hire in a growing software engineering team building and scaling a .NET and AWS platform. With the release pace increasing, the team needs dedicated quality ownership to reduce risk and improve confidence across deployments.
You will work closely with engineers and product managers to strengthen testing coverage, challenge assumptions early, and improve how quality is embedded across delivery.

You will focus on exploratory testing, API validation, and data checks across SQL driven systems, ensuring issues are found early and releases meet agreed standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end QA across web and API services
- Run exploratory, functional, regression testing across releases
- Test REST and GraphQL APIs
- Validate data integrity using SQL queries
- Work inside CI/CD delivery cycles with engineers
- Identify risks early and improve test coverage over time
- Support release decisions with clear quality feedback

Requirements
- Strong commercial QA or software testing experience
- Hands-on API testing experience
- Confident using SQL for validation
- Experience working in Agile engineering teams
- Comfortable operating as sole QA in a team
Salary and Benefits
Salary up to £50,000 + bonus, Remote first with 1 day per month Manchester office, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, birthday off
