Quality Engineer
£45,000 - £55,000 + Company Benefits
Abingdon, Oxford
Are you a Quality Engineer or similar with a background in mechanical engineering, manufacturing quality, or inspection, looking to join an established engineering business where you will play a key role in quality control, customer liaison, and continuous improvement?
On offer is the opportunity to join a well-established precision engineering business where you will deliver a professional quality engineering service across manufacturing, inspection, and customer quality requirements. You will be responsible for ensuring products meet strict quality standards while supporting operators, suppliers, and customers across a range of technical projects.
In this varied role, you will liaise with customers and suppliers on quality issues, interpret mechanical engineering drawings, produce inspection reports, manage non-conformances, and support 8D and 5 Why investigations. You will also assist with calibration systems, quality control plans, final inspection reports, customer documentation packs, audits, and the improvement of inspection techniques, equipment, and processes.

This role would suit a Quality Engineer or similar with a knowledge of inspection, GD&T, engineering drawings, CMMs, and manufacturing quality who is looking for a varied role within a precision engineering environment.
The Role:
- Manufacturing quality control, inspection reporting, audits, and customer documentation
- Managing non-conformances, customer complaints, 8Ds, 5 Whys, and supplier quality issues
- Interpreting engineering drawings, supporting inspection techniques, calibration, CMMs, and GD&T
