Quality Engineer
Location: Hull
Salary: Up to £40,000
Position Type: Permanent
About the Role
Shillito Group are working with an established manufacturing business in Hull to recruit a Quality Engineer.
This is a hands-on quality role, working across production, engineering, and supply chain to help maintain standards, investigate issues, and improve processes.
The Role
- Investigating non-conformances and quality issues
- Carrying out root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Supporting internal and external audits
- Maintaining and improving the QMS
- Working with suppliers on quality performance
- Supporting inspections, product verification, and new projects
- Helping drive continuous improvement across the business

What They’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a Quality role within manufacturing
- Good understanding of ISO 9001
- Experience with audits, non-conformances, and root cause analysis
- Comfortable working with engineering and production teams
- A practical, problem-solving approach

Experience within engineering, marine, defence, or another regulated manufacturing environment would be useful, but isn’t essential.
