About Us

Hard Anodising Surface Treatments Ltd is a family-run company specialising in improving the performance of metal surfaces.

With over 50 years of experience, we work with customers across a range of demanding industries, including aerospace, defence and Formula 1. We are proud of the quality of our work and the knowledge and experience of our team.

The Role

We are looking for a full-time Quality Engineer / Quality Inspection Engineer to join our busy surface treatments facility in Kidderminster.

This is a hands-on role involving the inspection of incoming, in-process and completed parts, with a particular focus on aerospace and other quality-critical work.

You will need excellent attention to detail, confidence in reading engineering drawings and technical specifications, and the ability to communicate clearly with management, customers and colleagues on the shop floor.

Main Duties

  • Inspect incoming, in-process and completed parts for damage, contamination, machining faults and other non-conformances.
  • Carry out final inspection of aerospace parts.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, customer requirements and specifications such as DEF STAN, MIL-SPEC and ISO standards.
  • Carry out contract reviews, particularly for aerospace work.
  • Complete dimensional inspection reports and support FAIR dimensional build-up and sign-off.
  • Carry out in-process inspection and sampling.
  • Audit job cards and paperwork to ensure requirements have been followed correctly.
  • Quarantine non-conforming products and maintain accurate inspection and traceability records.
  • Support root cause investigations for internal rejects and customer returns, including RCCA, 5 Why and 8D.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Lead and contribute to quality meetings on site.
  • Work closely with the shop floor to maintain high quality standards.
  • Contribute to process and continuous improvement activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
