We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join Stannah based in Andover.

This role will involve owning and assuring the quality of Home Accessibility products, ensuring that new and existing products meet agreed product specifications, customer expectations, regulatory obligations, and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements. You will play a key role in driving product quality improvements, supporting compliance activities, and reducing customer risk through effective quality management practices.

Role Summary

As the Quality Engineer, you will work from 8:00am to 4:45pm Monday to Thursday and 8:00am to 1:00pm Friday. This is a permanent position.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced quality professional who enjoys problem-solving, continuous improvement, and working collaboratively across engineering, manufacturing, technical, and service teams to deliver high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own quality assurance activities for Stairlift products, including verification, inspection, testing, and compliance checks in line with QMS requirements.
  • Lead investigations into product quality issues, customer complaints, and reliability concerns, identifying root causes and driving effective corrective and preventative actions.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, ensuring robust quality controls, clear acceptance criteria, and appropriate quality sign-off processes.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Technical, and Service Support teams to translate customer and field feedback into product quality improvements.
  • Drive continual improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, strengthen compliance, and reduce the cost of poor quality.

Requirements

  • Quality and/or engineering qualification, or equivalent technical experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality tools and methodologies such as 8D, 5Y, SPC, APQP, PPAP, and FMEA.
  • Experience analyzing data, interpreting technical drawings, and presenting findings through reports and presentations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and make evidence-based recommendations.
