Quality Engineer
An established engineering and manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to provide quality assurance and control support across complex products and processes. You will ensure customer, regulatory and internal requirements are achieved, driving continuous improvement, managing non-conformances and maintaining compliance with recognised quality standards throughout manufacturing operations and programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and monitor effective quality assurance and control processes, ensuring products and manufacturing activities meet customer requirements, specifications and relevant quality standards.
- Lead the investigation and management of non-conformances, completing root cause analysis and implementing effective containment, corrective and preventative actions using techniques including 8D, A3, DMAIC and Lean methodologies.
- Act as a subject matter expert for quality tools and processes including APQP, PPAP, FAIRs, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, Cpk and Gauge R&R.
- Conduct internal, supplier, system and process audits, reporting non-compliance and working collaboratively with stakeholders to implement improvements and maintain ISO 9001 and associated management system requirements.
- Provide proactive quality support across manufacturing operations, liaising with customers and Quality Assurance Representatives where required, supporting product release and certification, and maintaining controlled IMS procedures, work instructions and SOPs.

- Proven experience as a Quality Engineer within Manufacturing or Engineering
- Internal Auditor certified preferred – ISO 9001
- Experience with quality tools and techniques such as APQP, PPAP, FAIRs, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans and more.

Permanent, Full Time with Flexible working hours
Working Hours
08:00-16:30 (Mon-Thurs), 08:00-13:00 (Fri)
Salary
£42k - £48k (dependent on experience)
