Quality Engineer

£40,000–£45,000 | Cambridge | Onsite

My client is looking for a Quality Engineer to join their growing manufacturing team in Cambridge. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving quality systems for high-precision products used across the communications, defence, space, and transportation sectors.

The Role

  • Manage and improve quality management systems and processes
  • Lead non-conformance investigations, change control, and corrective action
  • Conduct internal ISO9001 and ISO27001 audits
  • Analyse manufacturing data to drive continuous improvement
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and Lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Work closely with engineering and production teams to improve quality, yield, and efficiency

What They're Looking For

  • Experience in a Quality Engineer or similar manufacturing quality role
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 (ISO27001 and Internal Auditor certification desirable)
  • Experience with RCCA, 8D, FMEA, and statistical analysis tools such as Minitab or JMP
  • Understanding of RoHS, REACH, and SCIP regulations
  • Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience working within a Lean manufacturing environment is highly desirable
