Procurement & Manufacturing Quality Delivery Lead

Location: Bristol (Aztec West) or Manchester City Centre
Hybrid Working: Minimum 2 days per week in the office

Are you an experienced quality leader with a passion for delivering excellence across complex engineering and manufacturing programmes?
The MEH Alliance is seeking a Procurement & Manufacturing Quality Delivery Lead to play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of one of the UK's most significant nuclear infrastructure projects. This is a high-profile leadership opportunity where you will influence quality performance across a diverse international supply chain, ensuring that equipment, components and systems are delivered right first time, fully compliant, and ready to meet the highest standards of safety and quality.
Reporting to the Head of Quality, you will lead a team of Quality Management Leads and Quality Engineers, acting as the senior quality focal point for your discipline and driving quality performance throughout the entire project lifecycle.
The Opportunity
As the Procurement & Manufacturing Quality Delivery Lead, you'll provide strategic and operational leadership across quality assurance, quality control, supplier surveillance and manufacturing oversight activities.
You will work closely with project delivery, engineering, commercial, construction and commissioning teams, ensuring quality requirements are understood, implemented and consistently achieved across a complex supply chain environment.
This role offers the opportunity to influence major suppliers, engage with regulators and inspection bodies, and help deliver equipment and systems that will support the future of low-carbon energy generation in the UK.

What You'll Be Responsible For
Leadership & Team Development
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of Quality Management Leads and Quality Engineers.
- Setting objectives, monitoring performance and supporting professional growth across the quality team.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and quality excellence.
Supply Chain Quality Assurance
- Ensuring suppliers comply with all contractual quality assurance and quality control requirements.
- Driving effective implementation of quality arrangements throughout procurement, manufacturing, testing and delivery activities.
- Ensuring Lifetime Quality Records (LTQRs) are produced, maintained and accepted in accordance with project requirements.
Manufacturing Quality Oversight
- Providing assurance that manufactured equipment and components meet design, technical and contractual requirements.
- Implementing effective manufacturing surveillance programmes based on safety significance and project importance.
- Ensuring Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) are robust, controlled and effectively managed.
Stakeholder & Regulatory Engagement
- Acting as the single point of contact for quality matters within your discipline.
- Building strong relationships with project teams, suppliers, commercial stakeholders, EDF Group representatives, external regulators and inspection organisations.
- Escalating quality concerns appropriately and driving effective resolution of issues and non-conformances.
Quality Governance
- Supporting implementation of the MEH Alliance Integrated Management System and Quality Execution Plan.
- Delivering clear reporting, performance updates and quality insights to senior leadership.
- Ensuring supplier audits are planned, executed and closed out effectively.
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications & Experience

- HNC/HND in Quality Management, Engineering, Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrable experience conducting supplier audits.
- Strong experience delivering quality within large-scale engineering, manufacturing or infrastructure projects.
- Proven understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control across procurement, manufacturing, construction and commissioning environments.
- Previous leadership or line management experience within a project-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence at all organisational levels.
Technical Knowledge
A strong understanding of quality management frameworks and standards, including:
- ISO 9001
- ISO 19443
- IAEA GSR Part 2
- Quality management principles within highly regulated industries such as nuclear, energy, defence or major infrastructure.
